TasksDirectorate:
- Organizing cultural events) theatrical performances, cinematic performances, art exhibitions, conferences, seminars, cultural evenings, book signings, evenings Poetry, … etc.
- Management of artistic teams, management of museums and cultural facilities affiliated with the municipality.
- Acquisition of works of art, marketing of cultural and tourism programs and promotion of tourism and cultural events and activities.
- Providing reservation and organization services for theatres, halls, amphitheatres, stadiums and arenas in coordination with public relations and media.
- Organizing specialized activities for children, youth, and women.
- Supervising the main and subsidiary public libraries and coordinating among them, and setting standards that help develop the services that libraries provide to the city’s community, in accordance with international standards in library management and using modern technologies.
- Management and follow-upLibrary assets and holdings, including books, manuscripts, and publications, ensuring their availability to library visitors, and providing knowledge services to researchers, using modern technologies.
- Developing strategies that encourage interest in reading and knowledge, and working to increase the number of library visitors.
- Establishing cooperative relationships with local and foreign public libraries, and promoting knowledge exchange with them.
- Publishing and printing cultural books within the budget. Prepared for this purpose.
- Holding book fairs and participating in book fairs.
- Providing counseling and family services by holding seminars and awareness lectures for parents and children and receiving, following up and treating various cases of children.
- Following up all halls and reservations in coordination with public relations and media, and following up on cultural facilities and managing them within qualified cadres.
- Providing Programs, activities and projects that serve all segments of society through sections specialized in childhood, women, the elderly and youth, based on the actual needs of society using scientific methods.
- Developing and training women with the aim of creating job opportunities and raising their cultural, health and social awareness.
