Municipal Council achievements

Invitation to tender Removal of rubble from streets, public squares and roadsides in the amount of (8850) dinars.
  • Installation and maintenance of (350) lighting units in the Ma’in area.
  • Installation and maintenance of (300) lighting units in the Al-Muraijmat and Al-Hawiyah area.
  • Installation and maintenance of (300) lighting units in the Jreinat Al-Shawabkeh area.
  • Installation and maintenance of (200) lighting units in the Granada and Arish area.
  • Installation and maintenance of (250) lighting units in the Al-Faisaliah area.
  • Work is currently underway to maintain and install lighting units in the Kasbah of Madaba, which is approximately (3000).
  • The valleys and culverts have been cleaned and prepared. To welcome the winter season.
  • A box ferry was built in the El Nadeem Hospital area to drain rainwater from the valley that separates the Al Azayda neighborhood area from El Nadeem Hospital.
  • Work is underway to open a street above the ferry to connect the two areas to shorten the distance and facilitate the movement of cars.And citizens in both regions.
  • Also, a box culvert was built in the Wadi Al-Habis area, the eastern neighborhood, to drain rainwater and the removal of the pipe culverts because they did not absorb rainwater, as this site is collecting rainwater from the western, southern and northwestern regions of Madaba.
  • The health unit investment was offered in the amount of (6250) dinars.
  • Work on the southern travel complex was completed and it is now receiving buses. And buses
  • Work is currently underway to find a suitable place for the Ma’in bus stop.
  • The necessary maintenance has been carried out on the streets of the craft area and the installation of old lighting and operating units.
  • The existing rubble and waste in the craft area have been removed and the Kurdish scraps located at the entrance to the craft city have been removed.

    • The municipality also installed the Zain Track electronic system to monitor the movement of vehicles to control fuel spending. The result was abundance(3600) liters of diesel each month, and it is the first municipality to install this system.
    • The municipality issued a magazine called “Madaba Magazine” under the title “Social – historical – archaeological, tourism, health – and literary topics, as the municipality is interested in culture and intellectuals.

    A tender was issued to build commercial warehouses on the municipal slaughterhouse land. The number of old warehouses is (18) at a cost of (150,000) thousand dinars and funding from the municipal fund.

    • Work is underway to build a cultural center (for children) on the plot of land adjacent to the hall of the late Ahmed Qutaish in cooperation between the municipality and the Zaha Cultural Center.
    • Constructing an environmental lodge on the plot of land owned by the municipality and located near the cultural village on Ma’in Road, at a cost of (80,000) One thousand euros from the European Union, and ownership will then return to the municipality of Madaba.
    • A tender for opening and paving Madaba’s streets in the amount of (45,000) thousand dinars and an area of (90,000) square metres, in addition to constructing box culverts in critical locations to remove damage to citizens’ homes.
    • Maintenance of streets and sidewalks (patches) in Madaba and the areas at a cost (15,000) thousand dinars, as (300) tons of asphalt mixture were used
    • preparing the graves, providing them with tiles, and building graves in Madaba and the regionsAt a cost of (30,000) thousand dinars, as the work includes (excavations, pouring slabs, building graves).
    • Maintenance of the Water Authority’s excavations at a cost of (20,000) thousand dinars using asphalt mixture.
    • Maintenance and painting of municipal buildings and areas at a cost of (8000) Dinars
    • Painting the sidewalks and edges of the main streets of the city and in various locations at a cost of (5,000) dinars.
    • Various maintenance work for municipal buildings at a cost of (2,000) dinars
    • Purchasing and installing traffic signs to regulate traffic at a cost of (35,000) one thousand dinars.
    • Preparing the site of a popular market for vegetable stall owners at a cost of (4000) dinars.
    • Expanding the governorate roundabout (Martyr Wasfi al-Tall) to alleviate the traffic crisis at a cost of(1000) dinars.
    • Relocating the livestock market and fencing the site at a cost of (1000) dinars.

    • A project to establish a number of (21) commercial warehouses on the land of the old municipal slaughterhouse at a cost of (400,000) thousand dinars.
    • Construction of a container factory at a cost of (50,000) thousand dinars.
    • Roofing valleys and open canals at a cost(200,000,000) thousand dinars.
    • Expansion of the craft area by purchasing new pieces at a cost of (1,000,000,000) million dinars.
    • Purchasing machinery for the Department of Services and Engineering Works such as (Baku, roller, dumper) in order to raise the level of service provided to citizens at a cost (400,000) thousand dinars.
    • Purchase of a sewage tank to serve the municipal slaughterhouse at a cost of (100,000) thousand dinars.
    • Tender for opening and paving streets to serve the regions at a cost of (250,000) thousand dinars.

    Municipal Council achievements

    Inviting a tender for opening and paving with a value of (362,000) thousand dinars and box containers.

    • Containers were purchased for the amount of (82) thousand dinars, and (200) containers were distributed in the Kasbah and the regions, and there are (100) containers that will be distributed very soon.
