The general objective of the directorate:

The directorate undertakes the task of establishing gardens and parks, working to operate and sustain them, increasing the green area, and working to

sustain and manage the public green spaces implemented within the city of Madaba and its regions.

Departments Directorate:

            Department of Gardens and Parks.

            Department of Nurseries and Agricultural Extension.

            Department of Agriculture and Irrigation.

There are five gardens and one park in Madaba:

-The garden of the late engineer Ahmed Qutaish (it has a municipal hall in the form of a theater and a playground). Pentagon, Zaha Cultural Center No. 1).

-Al-Karama Park (multi-purpose hall, pentathlon court, mosque).

-Queen Rania Al-Abdullah Park (Women’s Committees Complex).

-Zaid bin Haritha Park (Zaid bin Haritha Mosque, pentathlon court).

-Urban Village (Greater Madaba Municipal Radio “Voice of Madaba”, Zaha Cultural Center No. 2, five-a-side court, public facilities, outdoor theatre).

– Al-Faisaliah Park (gate, full check). Note: Complete engineering plans have been prepared for the facilities, complete with parking lots.

Directorate tasks:

1. Carry out various cultivation works for gardens, sidewalks, central islands, and spacesInterconnected green.
2. Providing the necessary seedlings and plants for municipal projects, and caring for various agricultural seedlings.
3. Designing and implementing the agricultural works required for municipal sites.
4. Providing parks and working on their sustainability.
5. Picnic services and providing a safe environment for trips, and a healthy outlet for the community.
6. Providing seating areas equipped with chairs and tables. And barbecue grills.
7. Providing entertainment services and games for children.
8. Providing agricultural extension services.
9. Following up on the environmental agricultural incubator project “plastic houses”.
10. Conducting inspection tours of sheep breeder owners inside residential neighborhoods.
11. Trimming municipal trees, correcting citizens’ and electricity companies’ comments on trees high on electrical grids, and participating in Winter emergency operating room.
