About the Municipality of Madaba

The first municipal council was established in 1912 under the name of the Municipality of Madaba. In 2000, five neighboring municipalities were merged into Madaba, and its name became the Greater Madaba Municipality. Its area is 450 km2, while the area of the organized area is about 45 km2, and its population is about 173,304 people. The municipality is managed by the 14-member municipal council. member; Among them is the mayor.

  Municipal libraries and centers include:
1. Madaba Municipal Public Library.

There are four gardens:

Achievements of the current municipal council:

The municipality transports (150,000) one hundred and fifty thousand tons of waste daily.
